最先端と風格と。。王座戦/２回戦「稲葉八段－豊島七段を振り返ろう」

昨日行われました注目の「関西若手四天王」対決
「稲葉陽八段－豊島将之七段」は、上図９９手までで
先手・稲葉八段が勝利。Ａ級棋士の貫禄をみせつけました。
豊島七段にとっては是が非でも勝ちたかった一戦ですが
力及ばず無念の敗退。これで対稲葉八段戦は３連敗となり
先を行くライバルとの差がまた少し開いた印象のみが残ります。。
２８歳の佐藤天彦新名人誕生をきっかけとして
将棋界は新世代による天下統一を目指した戦国時代到来。。
とはならず、１０代でプロとなり２０代前半で頭角を現した
現在２０代半ばから後半を迎えた有力棋士の中でも実はすでに
序列が出来つつあります。。
「羽生世代」が君臨したこの２０年がそうであったように
Ａ級まで到達し、タイトルを争える棋士というのはごく限られており
新陳代謝がほぼない将棋界においては、一度固まってしまった序列を
時の勢いだけで覆すのはほぼ、不可能となります。
かつては新人王の座を争った関東のライバル・佐藤名人
奨励会時代よりしのぎを削ってきた稲葉八段、糸谷哲郎八段との「差」は
見守るファン以上に、豊島七段自身が痛切に感じているはず。
「あちら側」に回るのか、「こちら側」に生き残れるのか。。
なぜか急所を仕留め損ね、相手の息の根を止めることが出来ない
豊島七段には当然ながら、もどかしさを感じていますが、しかし
個人的にはこれまでの期待と信頼が揺らぐことは微塵もありません。。
