午前中のお楽しみ第６６回ＮＨＫ杯将棋トーナメントは
「羽生世代」と関西の新若大将の激突が実現いたします。
＜第６６回ＮＨＫ杯将棋トーナメント/３回戦＞
佐藤康光九段－斎藤慎太郎六段
棋聖６期、名人２期を含むタイトル獲得１３期を誇り
初手から一切の妥協を許さず、信念と価値を求める求道者
「現代の升田幸三」こと、佐藤九段が登場。
実にメガネがよく似合う長身のイケメンで
詰将棋で鍛えた終盤力が魅力の２３歳・斎藤六段との
３回戦に臨みます。
佐藤九段の今期ここまでの成績は
２０戦６勝１４敗（．３００）。順位戦はＡ級で１勝４敗。
今期、春先から不振に喘ぐ「羽生世代」を象徴するかのように
我らの闘将も不本意な低空飛行が続きます。。
しかし、ＮＨＫ杯では
初戦となった２回戦で１９歳の新鋭・増田康宏四段に貫禄勝ち。
進境著しい若手棋士との対戦となる明日の３回戦も白星を飾り
健在ぶりと存在感を示して欲しいところであります。
対します、斎藤六段の今期ここまでの成績は
１５戦１１勝４敗（．７３３）。順位戦はＢ級２組で開幕６連勝中。
対局数こそ少ないものの連敗は一度もなく、安定して白星を量産。。
今後が最も期待される関西若手精鋭のひとりであります。
全国の将棋ファンにその存在をアピールすべく
ＮＨＫ杯/２回戦で森内俊之九段を下した勢いそのままに
初手合いとなる明日の佐藤九段戦も虎視眈々と白星を狙います。。

斎藤六段にとっては関西将棋界の大先輩であり
佐藤九段とはかつての研究仲間にしてゴルフ仲間の
振り飛車党現党首・久保利明九段が登場。
