現在進行中の２つのタイトル戦
王将戦、棋王戦はともにタイスコアの接戦となり
一年の中心軸である順位戦も各組で昇格、残留争いが大詰め。
将棋界は年度末に向けてますますの盛り上がりをみせます。。
その熱気に乗って浮上のきっかけを掴むべく
明日は今泉健司四段が久しぶりに公式戦に登場いたします。
今泉四段の今期ここまでの成績は９勝９敗（.５００）。
年明けに行われた公式戦で連敗を喫し、直近の５局は１勝４敗。
唯一の白星も香川愛生女流三段からあげたもので、棋士相手には
丸４ヶ月、勝利から遠ざかります。。
残念ながらタイトル戦の予選突破はここまで一つも叶わず
不本意な成績で年度末を迎えましたが、来期へ向けて何としても
年間勝率５割以上は達成したいところ。
明日は第６６期王将戦の一次予選/１回戦を
関西のベテラン・西川慶二七段と戦います。
西川七段は現在５４歳。
弟子でもある西川和宏五段との親子棋士としても有名。
今期ここまでの成績は１３戦４勝９敗（.３０８）。
両者はこれまで公式戦での顔合わせはなく
明日が初手合いとなります。
西川七段は居飛車の正統派ということで
振り飛車党の今泉四段としては、組みやすい相手と言えるのかも。
思いっきり自分の主張をぶつけて、ぜひ勝利を飾って欲しいです！
