本日は、将棋の代名詞である羽生善治名人の
４５回目の誕生日であります。
羽生名人のfacebookには祝福のコメントが多数寄せられ
普段はめったに投稿しない羽生名人もお礼のコメントを
発表されました。。
たくさんのメッセージ、ありがとうございます。誕生日も気恥ずかしい年ですがこれを機に新たな気持ちで頑張ります。

この１０年を振りかえれば
名人戦で名勝負を繰り広げた森内俊之九段を筆頭に
ライバルにして盟友である「羽生世代」が常にタイトル戦の
常に中心でした。
三浦弘行九段、久保利明九段、深浦康市九段、木村一基八段
そして今期の名人戦の挑戦者・行方尚史八段も少しだけ年下の
年齢的にはほぼ同世代の棋士達。。
一回り以上も歳が離れた
本当の意味での世代闘争と言えるライバルは渡辺明棋王ひとりであり
番勝負で勝ったり負けたりを繰り返しながらも、主役は常に変わらず
羽生名人であったと断言できます。。
しかし、ここに来て
広瀬章人八段、豊島将之七段、中村太地六段と
渡辺棋王よりもさらに年下の棋士がタイトル戦の挑戦者に
次々と名乗りをあげ、テーマは世代闘争から世代交代へ。。
昨年は糸谷哲郎新竜王が誕生。
現在進行形の第６３期王座戦では２７歳の若きエキスパート
佐藤天彦八段の前に、羽生王座は１勝２敗でカド番に立たされる
苦しい展開を強いられています。。
かつては自らも仲間たちと起こした大きなうねりが
将棋界全体をつつみこうとしている今、誰よりも勝利を欲し
ひたすら勝つための努力を積み重ねてきた勝負師・羽生名人の
いよいよ真価が問われようとしている。
だからこそ
これからの将棋界と羽生名人が楽しみでなりません。
