第４３期岡田美術館杯女流名人戦５番勝負/第５局は
２０２手にも及ぶ大熱戦の末、後手・里見女流名人が勝利。

勝者がタイトルを手にする大一番は
里見女流名人が「ゴキゲン中飛車」を投入すると
居飛車の上田女流三段は必殺の「穴熊」に玉を囲い
ともに気合満点、万全の必勝態勢に構えます。。

長い長い中盤の攻防は難解を極め
一手進む度に、形勢は先手と後手の間を行ったり来たり。。
大一番はいつ果てるとも知れない、死闘となりました。。

２００手を越えた激戦に終止符が打たれたのは上図の局面。
先手玉を追い詰めた里見女流名人が自玉を上部に脱出させて
天王山・５筋の位に逃げ延びたところで、上田女流三段は
ついに力尽き、無念の投了を告げました。。
先手にも勝機が何度も訪れたように感じられただけに
上田女流三段にとってはタイトルまで後一歩に迫った
何とも惜しい敗戦に。。
しかし、最強の王者をカド番に追い詰め
フルセットまでもつれ込んだ名勝負は、大いに
上田女流三段の実力と価値を将棋ファンに知らしめました。
いきなりの連敗スタートを喫するも、そこから底力を発揮。
怒涛の３連勝で逆転防衛を果たした里見女流名人はさすがの一言。
高い志とあくなき探究心、そして妥協なき努力を積み重ねて
見事、女流名人位８連覇の金字塔を打ち立てました。
