謹んでご報告申し上げます。この度、会長を辞任させて頂くことと致しました。
第三者調査委員会から報告書を頂き、年末年始をはさんでいろいろと考えた結果、将棋ファンの皆様、主催者・協賛社の皆様、そして三浦弘行九段に誠意をお伝えするには、会長が辞任するのが一番、という結論に至りました。
加えて、昨年の十月以降、対応に苦慮する中で心身ともに不調をきたすようになってしまいました。このような状況の中で責任ある立場を続けるのは、将棋連盟にも迷惑がかかると考えました。
専務時代を含めると約五年半、お世話になりました皆様には申し訳ありませんが、ご理解頂ければと思います。なお、空白期間を作ることはできませんので、新しい会長が決定するまでの期間は務めさせて頂きますことをご了承下さい。関係者の皆様、将棋ファンの皆様にご迷惑をおかけしましたことを、改めて深くお詫び申し上げます。
