プロ棋士と将棋ソフトの対戦の歴史でもあった
「電王戦」シリーズは今春、佐藤天彦名人がＰＯＮＡＮＺＡとの二番勝負で
全く歯が立たず圧負で連敗を喫し、誰の目にもはっきりと分かる納得の形で
その役割を全うし、終了となりました。
しかし、その代わりに
「電王戦」シリーズを支えてくれた川上量生社長率いるドワンゴ主催で
２年前にスタートした新しい棋戦「叡王戦」が何と今期よりタイトル戦に昇格。。
大和証券杯や達人戦（非公式戦）がひっそりと幕を閉じ、タイトル戦に関しても
縮小や廃止の噂の絶えなかった将棋界はまさかの８大タイトル時代へと移行する
ビッグサプライズとなりました。
もともと将棋ソフト代表と対戦する
プロ棋士の代表を決めるトーナメント戦として産声をあげた
「叡王戦」が心機一転、タイトル戦となったことでトップ棋士にとっても
自然とモチベーション上がる、晴れの舞台となりました。
その「叡王戦」の明日、羽生善治三冠が登場。
決勝トーナメント出場を目指す九段戦予選を戦います。
羽生三冠の今期ここまでの成績は５戦４勝１敗。
６月に開幕した棋聖戦は若き挑戦者・佐藤慎太郎七段を相手に
開幕連勝スタートを決め、棋聖位１０連覇に早くも王手をかけます。
また悲願の名人奪還に燃えるＡ級順位戦も開幕戦白星発進を飾り
ここに来て調子は上々、将棋の内容ともども充実感を漂わせます。
明日は２回戦からの登場で
午後２時より行なわれます１回戦「田中寅彦九段－小林健二九段」の
勝者と午後７時より、もちろん棋譜中継有りで対戦します。
対局の模様はニコニコ生放送でもライブ中継されますので
日曜の夜はぜひ、羽生三冠の対局をご堪能下さい☆
