五郎丸ＴＬ通算1000得点！ヤマハ発、初制覇へ向け逃げ切り発進
ラグビーのトップリーグ（ＴＬ）は１４日、各地で第１節第２日の６試合が行われ、Ｂ組のヤマハ発動機が、この試合でＴＬ史上２人目となる通算１０００得点を達成した日本代表ＦＢ五郎丸歩（２９）の活躍などでトヨタ自動車に１８―１１で快勝。勝ち点４を挙げ、ＴＬ初制覇へ向け好調なスタートを切った。
先のワールドカップで大活躍
一躍、時の人となった五郎丸歩選手（ヤマハ発動機）が
本日、我が地元・名古屋に登場！

トヨタ自動車とトップリーグ公式戦を戦いました。
今日の名古屋は朝からあいにくの雨模様。
しかもかなり冷え込む一日となり、観戦はかなり大変だったと
思われますが、それでも多くの人がラグビー場へと足を運び
観衆は主催者発表で何と８６７６人！
予想以上の需要と入場券の販売システムの不手際も重なり
超満員とはならなかったものの、この天候で８千人を越える
観客を集めたのは本当に大したもの。。
時の人の登場と言えば、私も１９９７年に
サッカー日本代表が初めてワールドカップ出場を決めた直後の
天皇杯を瑞穂競技場に観に行きました。

本当は名古屋グランパスの応援にいくつもりだったのですが
この前の試合でグランパスは東京ガスの前にあえなく敗退（＾＾；
それでも、ワールドカップ予選で大活躍して
一躍、時の人となった中田英寿選手のプレーを生で見るのを
楽しみに出かけましたが、あの時も我々が座った正面スタンドは
満員にふくれ上がりました。。
とにかく若い女の子の数が尋常ではないくらい多くて
ベンチ席にギュウギュウ詰めに座って、異様な雰囲気の中で
試合を観戦したのを思い出します。。
スポーツはやぱりガラガラのスタジアムよりも
満員、超満員の歓声と熱気の中で観戦する方が盛り上がるし
プレーする選手もやる気が違ってくるはず。
残念ながら、ブームはやがて去り
ブームに乗っかる９割は次のブームにすぐに乗っかるミーハーファンと
相場は決まっていますが、それでも、せっかく高まったラグビー熱が
良い方向へと昇華し、次代に花開くことを願っています。
私もブームが去ったら
瑞穂にラグビーを観に行くつもりです。
